H. Rolf "Skip" Skjeie left this earth on September 21, 2009. He was born in Fargo, N.D., on May 28, 1931, and served his country in the National Guard, the Coast Guard, and the U.S. Navy. His life's work consisted of mortgage banking.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna (Jerry) of Dayton. He is also survived by his daughter Sandra Walker, son-in-law Quinn, and granddaughters, Nicole and Natalie. Also his daughter Shelley Schlemmer, son-in-law Rick, and granddaughter, Melody.
In Ashland, Wis., resides one sister, Marge Walworth, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2009, at Dayton cemetery, followed by a pot-luck luncheon in Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post 8660, P.O. Box 1964, Dayton, NV 89403.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
