RENO, Nev. (AP) - The FBI in Reno is asking for the public to help in identifying a man suspected of robbing five area Bank of the West locations in northern Nevada and California over the last several months.

The FBI says the suspect has worn a gray fedora, dark sunglasses and a fake brown goatee during the robberies. The agency says the man also has threatened bank employees and customers with a handgun.

No one has been injured in the robberies.

Robberies have occurred since February at California branches in South Lake Tahoe, Kings Beach and two branches in Grass Valley. The most recent robbery was Monday at a branch in Carson City.

The FBI asks anyone with information to contact authorities.
