Obituary: Enid Dorothy Parks

Enid Dorothy Parks, a Carson City resident passed away on February 19, 2010. She was 82 years old. Mrs. Parks was born on August 19, 1927, in Sacramento, Calif., the daughter of George T. and Dorothy G. (Gray) Parks. She grew up and attended schools in Sacramento. She married Robert W. Parks on June 1, 1947, in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Parks was a homemaker and artist. Later in life she sold real estate.

Mrs. Parks enjoyed playing bingo, bridge, slot machines, cooking and shopping.

Mrs. Parks will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her children Susan Peterson of Dayton, Cynthia Parks-Gunston of Sacramento, and William Parks of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Col. (retired) Robert Park; parents; sisters Georgie Mills and Zoe Martin; and grandson Devon Parks-Gunston.
