Obituary: Phyllis Mae Wick

June 9, 1934 - January 16, 2010

Phyllis Mae Wick passed away on January 16, 2010. Originally from Superior, Wis., Phyllis and her husband relocated to Carson City in 1985.

Phyllis was loved by all of those fortunate enough to know her. She never allowed the outside world to determine her happiness, but rather always lived life on her on terms. She found joy in helping others, in spending time with her family and friends, in cooking, and in fishing. She was greatly loved, and will be greatly missed.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter Sandy Wick; husband John Wick; brother Richard Rutkowski; and sister Karen McGrath. Survivors include daughter Eva Lerud; son Kevin Wick and daughter-in-law Petra; son Scott Wick and daughter-in-law Toni; grandchildren Alicia Lerud, Steven Lerud, Shannon Wick, Christopher Wick, and Patrick Wick; and siblings Bernard St. George, Albert Rutkowski, Darlene Gustafson, Janice Rochon, Leola Beckwell, Ruth Anne Borgwardt, Stephen Rutkowski and Donna Pitoscia.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Autumn Family Tribute Center in Carson City. A second memorial service will be held this summer in Superior.
