Carson Renegades fall to Truckee

The Carson Renegades, the 9-10 all-star team, opened the District 1 tournament in Sparks with a 15-14 loss to Truckee on Thursday night.

Renegade players collecting more than one hit were: Brandon Gagnon, who was 4-for-5; Hunter Hickey and Chris Cunningham, who were both 2-for-4 with a double; Copeland Sargent was 2-for-5 with two doubles.

Cole Salaices had a key hit in the sixth inning, a 2 RBI triple that tied the game. Adam Maw was solid at the plate going 1-for-2 with a double and three walks.

The Renegades return to action at 5:30 p.m. today against Reno National.
