Obituary: Elvera R. Schultz

December 29, 1927 to May 15, 2010

Vera (Nana) joined her husband Don, and granddaughter April, in heaven on May 15, 2010. She was surrounded by her family, son Norris and daughter-in-law Kathy, and daughters Janene and Donna. Vera was born December 29, 1927, in New Orleans, La., and moved to Carson City in 1963. She was a volunteer at Carson Tahoe Hospital and enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Don and granddaughter April.

Nana is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Janene and Mark Griffin, grandsons Trevor and Kyle of Sacramento, Calif., granddaughters Erin Kramer of Centralia, Wash., and Kerrie Kramer of Las Vegas, son and daughter-in-law Norris and Kathy Schultz, and daughter Donna Schultz and son-in-law Dick Brooks. Vera is loved her many friends and will be sadly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center Foundation or the St. Mary's Hospice. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church in Carson City. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is handling the arrangements.
