A Carson City woman remained in custody Tuesday, suspected of dealing drugs out of her home near an elementary school and just blocks from the Governor's Mansion.
Elise Delane Hinsen, 18, was booked into the Carson City Jail at 8:55 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of felony trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house within 1,000 feet of a school, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of marijuana and failure to obtain substance abuse counseling on a previous drug charge.
Also arrested was Todd Hornback, 25, on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine, sales of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of methamphetamine, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, possession of prescription drugs for sale, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles.
According to the arrest report, police got word that drugs were possibly being sold out of 104 N. Mountain St., across the street from Bordewich-Bray Elementary School and five blocks from the Governor's Mansion.
As members of the sheriff's Special Enforcement Team were watching the house, a vehicle pulled up and a man allegedly went inside. Moments later he emerged and drove off.
Deputies stopped the vehicle after it left the house and recovered $30 in methamphetamine, allegedly purchased at the house, the report states.
Based on those findings, a search warrant was issued. SET deputies found Hornback trying to flee out the bathroom window, the report states.
Hinsen allegedly surrendered. A third person, Kameron Mariolo, 24, was stopped as he allegedly tried to run out the back.
A search of the home uncovered 9.7 grams of methamphetamine, syringes, hydrocodone pills "with other medications that were in separate baggies (and) appeared to be packaged for sale," and a marijuana pipe and bong.
Mariolo was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hornback's bail is set at $50,000. Hinsen is being held on $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 10.
