Fallon’s Sierra Youth Football League teams continued its winning trend on Saturday in Reno and Fallon.

Fallon’s Bandits team defeated Wooster by two touchdowns, 18-6, for its second win (2-3) of the season, while the Mavericks club blanked Reno, 12-0. Fallon improved to 4-1 in the Mavericks division and is a game out of first place behind McQueen, which it will face Saturday at noon at Reno High School. The Bandits team is on a bye.

Fallon also shut out Wooster, 27-0, in the Renegades division to stay undefeated at 5-0 as it enters a bye week. The Freshman team, though, was on the other end, losing 19-0 to Yerington to fall to 1-3.

Fallon will take on Carson at Hug High School at noon.

The JV squad easily defeated Wooster, 48-6, to stay unbeaten (4-0) as it will face North Valleys at 6 p.m. in Reno. The Varsity team blanked North Valleys, 12-0, to even its record at 2-2 with a 2 p.m. bout against McQueen coming up on Saturday at Hug.

The Collegiate group dominated Wooster, 56-13, to improve to 2-2. Fallon will play at North Valleys at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Fallon’s Pop Warner teams faced Reno and Fernley over the weekend as it lost to Reno South and Fernley in the PeeWee and Unlimited divisions. Reno South also faced Fallon in the Mity Mites group.

Fallon hosts Reno South at 11 a.m., Reno Central at 1 p.m. and Sparks at 3 p.m. in the Tiny Mites, PeeWee and Unlimited classes. Fallon’s Mity Mites travel to Sparks for an 8 p.m. showdown with the Wolfpack.
