Commissioners meet Thursday

The first County Commission meeting of April will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the City of Fallon Council Chambers, 55 West Williams Avenue.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding Nevada Department of Agriculture presentation concerning the Noxious Weed Program, Robert Little, Nevada Department of Agriculture.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 2014-A, Ordinance 71, an ordinance making corrections, deletions, additions and minor revisions to Title 13 Water and Sewer, Sections 13.02.010 through 13.04.1060 and Sections 13.05.110 through 13.05.1110, Eleanor Lockwood, county manager.

Consideration and possible action regarding Intrastate Interlocal Contract between Public Agencies-State of Nevada, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, and the Tenth Judicial District Court for the Child Support Hearing Master, Sue Sevon, court administrator.

Consideration and possible action regarding FTA 5311 Grant for operations, FTA 5339 Grant for a vehicle, and agreement for the purchase of a new bus for CART, if funds are available, Ernie Maguire, executive director, Churchill Area Regional Transportation (CART).

Consideration and possible action regarding termination of contract between Churchill County and Paul Drakulich for professional services for Indigent Legal Services in light of the Nevada Supreme Court Order No. 63818 dated Feb. 26, 2014, Eleanor Lockwood, county manager.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill2014-B, Ordinance 7, an ordinance amending various provisions of Title 3 of the Churchill County Code, Geof Stark, Human Resources director.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of De-obligation Contract with the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for the public buildings ADA project, Shannon Ernst, Social Services director.
