Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of trafficking, possession for sales

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 12:25 p.m., a 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of suspended sentence, obstructing, driving with no valid license and suspended registration after deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop near Mills Park. Bail was set at $3,550.

At 12:27 p.m., Carmen Vega, 55, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary and domestic battery-first offense. Bail was set at $23,000.

At 2:22 p.m., Lina Flores, 24, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing an officer after deputies initiated a business check at the Jackpot Casino. Bail was set at $14,000.

At 5:33 p.m., Vincente Hernandez-Rodriguez, 36, a transient was arrested on suspicion of felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession for sales, felony possession of a controlled substance, driving without a license and stop sign violation after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Woodside Drive. At the same incident, a 37-year-old Incline Village man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail for Hernandez-Rodriguez was set at $27,650 and bail for the 37-year-old was set at $1,000.

At 5:52 p.m., a 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 6:23 p.m., a 22-year-old Schurz man was arrested on suspicion of brake lamp required, throwing a lit cigarette from a vehicle, no insurance, drug paraphernalia, contempt of court and speeding after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the College Parkway Del Taco. At the same incident, Amanda McGarry, 26, of Dayton was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a counterfeit substance and felony possession of a controlled substance. Bail for the 22-year-old was set at $2,780 and bail for McGarry was set at $22,500.

At 11:39 p.m., a 56-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense drugs after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Carson Street Sportsman’s Warehouse. Bail was set at $1,000.

SATURDAY

At 4:37 a.m., a 68-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense, drugs and hit and run property after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Stewart and John streets. Bail was set at $1,500.

At 3:52 p.m., Kristopher Stater, 35, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony fugitive from justice after deputies responded to a domestic dispute report. Bail was set at $11,000.

At 7:58 p.m., Jim Barlow, 51, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation near the 1500 block of La Miranda Street. Bail was set at $15,000.

At 10:06 p.m., a 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Fairview Drive and I-580. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 10:35 p.m., a 50-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies attempted to detain the man near the 200 block of Burton Street. Bail was set at $1,300.

At 10:42 p.m., an 18-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of minor possessing/consuming alcohol after deputies responded to reports of a fight near the 2700 block of Menlo Drive. Bail was set at $150.

At 11:27 p.m., a 20-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of battery and minor in consumption of alcohol after deputies responded to reports of a fight near the 2700 block of Menlo Drive. At the same incident, a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman, both of Carson City, were arrested on suspicion of battery. Bail for the 20-year-old was set at $1,150 and bail for the 28-year-old and 38-year-old were both set at $1,000.

SUNDAY

At 2:50 a.m., a 21-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence-drugs, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Long Streets. Bail was set at $2,700.

At 2:10 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of theft after deputies discovered an inmate using another inmate’s account to place phone calls. Bail was set at $500.

At 5:06 p.m., Aaron Borecki, 27, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of drugs without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic device after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious subject possibly involved in a drug deal at the Highway 50 Dollar Store. Bail was set at $9,500.

At 6:02 p.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to reports of two people taking items from the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $250.

MONDAY

At 3:03 a.m., a 40-year-old Minden man was arrested on suspicion of ex-felon failure to register after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Stewart and Williams Streets. Bail was set at $150.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
