Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of child neglect

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 1:50 a.m., a 50-year-old Tahoe City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and basic speed 40 in 25 after deputies initiated a traffic stop near William and Carson streets. Bail was set at $1,050.

At 6:33 p.m., Michael Trenkle, 39, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony child neglect after deputies responded to assist Nevada Highway Patrol with a child in need to supervision call near the 4500 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $40,000.

At 8:20 p.m., a 31-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to reports of a man jumping in and out of traffic near Long and Carson streets. Bail was set at $150.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
