Cafe at Adele’s in Carson City is among the top seafood dining spots in Nevada, according to a website rating released recently.

“You either love it or you hate it,” said OnlyInYourState.com of seafood. “Fortunately, if you love it, you won’t have any problem finding it here in Nevada.”

The website ranked Adele’s No. 3 among the 10 it highlighted, trailing one in nearby Reno and another in Las Vegas. Featured in the write-up about Adele’s were the restaurant’s Seafood Jambalaya, Maryland Blue Crab Cakes and Oysters Rockefeller. The website offered up Adele’s address in the capital city, 1112 N. Carson St., as well as the address in Reno of the No. 1 Rapscallion Seafood House & Bar.

The near downtown Reno restaurant Rapscallion’s, which is at 1555 S. Wells Ave., was praised as one of the Biggest Little City’s best spots for seafood. Cited were up to 20 seafood specials prepared fresh daily at fair prices with an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. Second spot on the list went to Big Al’s Oyster Bar in Las Vegas.

Trailing Adele’s were No. 4 Hot N Juicy Crawfish in Las Vegas; No. 5 John’s Oyster Bar in Sparks; No. 6 Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab in Las Vegas; No. 7 King’s Fish House in Henderson; No. 8 Big Water Grille in Incline Village; No. 9 Sterling’s Seafood Steakhouse in Reno and, finally, Fulton Fish Frye in Las Vegas.

In another ranking, the same website said Carson City’s main street is No. 3 in the state. It put Virginia City’s first and Boulder City’s second. Trailing Carson City in the seven mentioned by OnlyInYourState.com were No. 4 Ely, No. 5 Gardnerville, No. 6 Austin and, finally, Lovelock.

“The downtown area of Carson City,” said the website, “offers many shopping and dining opportunities. Two of the main events that are held downtown include the monthly wine walks and the annual Nevada Day Parade.”
