Three local Basque restaurants have been rated as among the best in the state, with a well-known Gardnerville restaurant rated as Nevada’s best place for Basque food.
The ratings were compiled by onlyinyourstate.com, a website which rates the best of anything and everything in the nation’s 50 states. The website rated Gardnerville’s J.T. Basque Bar & Dining Room as the state’s best Basque restaurant.
Carson City’s Villa Basque Deli & Cafe was rated fifth in the state while the Carson Valley Country Club Restaurant & Bar in Gardnerville was ranked sixth.
About J.T.’s, the website stated: “J.T. Basque Bar & Dining Room has been voted “Best Basque Restaurant” in the Carson Valley for more than a decade. Their multi-course family-style meals come in generous portions, so be sure to bring a hearty appetite. The restaurant is located at 1426 Highway 395.
About Villa Basque Deli & Cafe, the website stated: “Villa Basque Deli & Cafe is the home of Pete’s World Famous Chorizo and several other Basque specialties. Their meals are both plentiful and flavorful.” The restaurant is located at 730 Basque Way near the Wal-Mart Shopping Center off of Retail Drive and Roop Street.
About the Carrson Valley Country Club, the website stated: “Ever since 1965, the Carson Valley Country Club Restaurant & Bar has been serving the Carson Valley and surrounding areas delicious Basque cuisine in a family-oriented atmosphere.” Carson Valley Country Club is located at 1029 Riverview Drive.
