Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of battery on a peace officer

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 8:43 a.m. Michael Hayward, 54, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony fugitive from justice after deputies responded to reports of a subject with a warrant near the 2300 block of Star Way. Bail as set at $35,000.

At 3:24 p.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer and seat belt required after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Long Street and Rand Avenue. Bail was set at $325.

At 3:43 p.m., David Haselwander, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and convicted person failed to register after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop and Little streets. At the same incident, Lydia Hensley, 18, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony probation violation, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,650 each.

At 3:44 p.m., Christopher Olson, 18, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell warrant after deputies initiated a consensual stop near the 1200 block of Woodside Drive. No bail was set.

At 5:34 p.m., Donald Ashley, 59, of Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery by strangulation, assault on a peace officer and battery after deputies responded to reports of a couple fighting near the 500 block of Roop Street. Bail was set at $18,500.

At 8:44 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of arrest of a probationer after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Empire Ranch Road. Bail was set at $3,000.

SATURDAY

At 5:22 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court and failure to appear traffic after deputies observed two people in possession of marijuana at the Carson Street Back on Track Inn. Bail was set at $2,1695.

At 6:11 p.m., Jacob Pacheaco, 28, of Reno, was arrested on suspicion of felony of a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana greater than one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court after deputies initiated a business check at the Highway 50 AM/PM gas station. Bail was set at $11,000.

At 10:37 p.m., Andrew Hettrick, 39, of Minden was arrested on suspicion of felony battery on an officer and obstructing after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Carson Street Jimmy G’s. At the same incident, a 27-year-old Minden woman was arrested for obstruction. The two allegedly were trying to fight with bouncers and officers. Hettrick had to be hit by a Taser to be restrained. Bail for Hettrick was set at $30,300 and bail for the woman was set at $300.

SUNDAY

At 4:04 a.m., an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of one ounce or less of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance, improper turn at intersection, open container in vehicle and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Corbett and Roop streets. Bail as set at $3,480.

At 8:38 a.m., a 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to reports of a man taking food from the Carson Street Grocery Outlet Store. Bail was set at $250.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
