RSVP is holding its free quarterly training for volunteers and field representatives from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 21 at Cooperative Extension, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 12, in Carson City.

The training, which will be broadcast to various locations in rural Nevada, will focus on the internal responsibilities of each position. It will cover the basics and provide a question and answer session.

RSVP’s mission is to help frail, homebound, and low-income seniors remain independent by providing high quality programs which allow them to stay in their own homes with dignity. RSVP coordinates a volunteer network of seniors who use their skills to support community agencies and address community needs through service.

For information about the locations of the training or to RSVP, contact the RSVP Program Volunteer & Stations Manager, Lauren Jones at 775-687-4680, ext. 6.
