The Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested the second suspect involved in two residential burglaries on Thursday.

Cody Rogers-Shaw, 23, of Carson City was arrested Thursday following a joint operation between the Carson City Sheriff’s Office detectives, the Special Enforcement Team, the U.S. Marshals and Nevada Parole and Probation.

Rogers-Shaw was found around 11:20 a.m. hiding in a yard in the 1600 block of Marian Avenue where he was taken into custody without incident.

Rogers-Shaw is suspected of burglarizing two Carson City residences earlier this month, along with 22-year-old Matthew Marizza. Marizza was arrested on May 27 for burglary charges related to the investigation.

Also at the incident, Leon Shaw, 49, and Shelsey Wiley, 22, were both arrested for harboring a felony fugitive for providing assistance to Rodgers-Shaw.

Rogers-Shaw was considered armed and dangerous by Parole and Probation as a parole absconder.

He will be charged with two counts of burglary, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a drug with intent to sell and a parole and probation warrant.
