Volunteers are sought to help remove trash from the Lone Mountain trail, just north of Lone Mountain Cemetery, from 8 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 25.

Muscle Powered’s next Trash Mob, a monthly effort that clears debris from local trails, is focusing on the historical sight and the nearby Carson River.

To help, meet at 8 a.m. at the dirt parking lot on the east side of Deer Run Road where it crosses the Carson River. Volunteers will then carpool to the site, which is about a mile down a gravel road. Trash bags, gloves and trash pickers will be provided.

To get the Trash Mob notice on your Facebook timeline, “like” any of the following Facebook pages: Muscle Powered, Carson City Parks & Recreation, Carson Proud, Carson City Chamber of Commerce, Visit Carson City or Carson City Public Works. To recommend a site for a trash mob, post to Muscle Powered’s Facebook page.
