Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on four counts of battery on an officer

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 4:44 a.m., Caleb Richey, 29, of Dayton was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and DUI- second offense after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Detroit Road. Bail was set at $5,600.

At 3:34 p.m., a 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies initiated a consensual stop near Fairview Drive and South Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 3:37 p.m., Desiree Mynear, 36, of Dayton, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, battery, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, petit larceny, possession of marijuana and trespassing after deputies initiated a traffic stop on a couple accused of taking items from the Market Street Walmart. At the same incident, Ryan Beasley, 29, of Dayton was arrested on suspicion of felony fraudulent use of a credit card, battery and possession of marijuana. Bail for Beasley was set at $6,600 and bail for Mynear was set at $31,850.

At 7:19 p.m., a 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court warrant after deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute near the 1900 block of N. Carson Street. Bail was set at $500.

SATURDAY

At 1:12 a.m., a 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Stewart and 5th streets. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 2:41 a.m., a 32-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of violation of a suspended sentence warrant after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated subject at the Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 5:06 a.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man and a 54-year-old Carson City man were arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies responded to reports of an accident near Edmonds Drive and Reeves Street. Bail was set at $1,000 each.

At 8:56 a.m., a 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear warrant, no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance and no registration after deputies responded to reports of a disabled vehicle near Roop and Long streets. Bail was set at $800.

At 1:44 p.m., Roy Sperry, 42, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon after deputies responded to reports of a reckless driver near Mayflower and Sherman lanes after witnesses said the man allegedly attempted to hit a woman with his vehicle. Bail was set at $20,000.

At 11:32 p.m., Mazzerick Nelson, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of four counts of felony battery on a peace officer, obstructing an officer, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a temporary protection order after deputies responded to reports of a domestic battery in progress near the 2900 block of Concord Drive. Nelson punched a deputy in the face when they tried to talk with him about the domestic call they received and he fought deputies for several minutes before being Tased and hit with the baton. He punched and kicked a total of four deputies in the process. At the same incident, a 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of obstruction, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for Nelson was set at $82,300 and bail for the woman was set at $1,900.

SUNDAY

At 1:46 a.m., Donald Morrow, 27, of Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon, battery and open container after deputies responded to reports of an attack at the Highway 50 AM/PM gas station. The reporting party said that two people allegedly attacked and beat himself and his girlfriend over an ongoing Facebook argument. At the same incident, a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court and a 59-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The three were arrested after deputies initiated a high risk traffic stop near Bryan Circle and Lompa Lane. Bail for Morrow was set at $21,100, bail for the 26-year-old was set at $3,600 and bail for the 59-year-old was set at $2,600.

At 7:24 a.m., a 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated subject near Robinson and Drew streets.

At 4:41 p.m., a 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of driving with a revoked license and violation of pretrial sentencing after deputies observed a known pre-trial subject buying alcohol near the 1700 block of N. Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 10:16 p.m., a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated subject near the 1200 block of S. Carson Street. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 11:52 p.m., a 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving and domestic battery after deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute near College Parkway and Research Way. Deputies located the female near I-580 and Arrowhead on-ramp. Bail was set at $4,200.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
