Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of statutory sexual seduction

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 1:53 p.m., a 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of a suspended driver’s license, failure to stop at a posted sign, failure to appear warrant and no current insurance after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Golf Club Road and Highway 50. Bail was set at $1,550.

At 2:45 p.m., Zachary Smith, 21, of Gardnerville, was arrested on suspicion of felony statutory sexual seduction after he turned himself into detectives at the Sheriff’s Office front counter. Bail was set at $25,000.

At 6:46 p.m., a 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended registration after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 700 block of Hot Springs Road. Bail was set at $3,000.

FRIDAY

At 1:38 a.m., a 19-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Washington and Plaza. Bail was set at $500.

At 4:10 a.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of suspended registration, no proof of insurance and license suspended or revoked after deputies initiated a traffic stop near 600 block of College Parkway. Bail was set at $1,650.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
