Carson City man arrested after stabbing his father

One Carson City man has been hospitalized following a violent domestic incident.

Deputies responded to reports of a stabbing near the 2000 block of College Parkway around 12:04 a.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, they discovered a 48-year-old victim who had been stabbed multiple times during a domestic dispute with his adult son.

The victim was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center via CareFlight for several serious, but not life threatening injuries to his torso area.

The suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Christopher Markley, fled the scene when authorities arrived, however turned himself into detectives later that morning.

Markley was arrested on suspicion of felony attempted murder, felony batter with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm and domestic battery with substantial bodily harm. His bail has been set at $75,000.
