Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to April 5-11:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Evans Street will be closed between Saliman Road and Simone Avenue, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for utility installation.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Carson River Road and Deer Run Road will have single lane closures with flaggers at the bridges across the Carson River in east Carson City, Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for bridge inspections.
Goni Road will have shoulder closures northbound between College Parkway and Hot Springs Road, Wednesday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for utility work. Business access detours will be provided.
Saliman Road will have lane closures and lane shifts in both directions between 5th Street and Robinson Street, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for utility installation. This is part of a series of lane restrictions and road closures in this area. Additional information will be forthcoming regarding future closures of 5th Street between Saliman Road and Fairview Drive.
There will be multiple lane closures and access restrictions along College Parkway, Retail Drive, Market Street, Bernard Way, and in the associated shopping center parking area, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for utility installation. Please use caution and consider using Roop Street as an alternative access.
Winnie Lane will have single lane closures with flaggers at the intersection of Foothill Road, Thursday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for installation of a temporary water pipe. The water pipe will be placed across the surface of the road and will result in a temporary “bump” while work is completed. The pipe will be in place for a few days. Please reduce your speed and use caution until the pipe is removed.
