Couch cushion in the oven and other Carson sheriff crime reports

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 24
• A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense. Bail was set at $3,137.
• A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree arson and domestic battery-first offense. Deputies were called to a home on Pheasant Drive on a domestic battery call. Upon arrival the man said he wouldn’t surrender. He later surrendered and told deputies that he put a couch cushion inside of the oven. Bail was set at $43,137.
• An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on felony domestic battery with strangulation, false imprisonment and child endangerment. Bail was set at $20,000.
FRIDAY
• A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny at a convenience store on South Carson Street. Bail was set at $352.
• A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,617.
• An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and minor in consumption. Bail was set at $3,379.
• A 52-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first. Bail was set at $1,137.
SATURDAY
• A 32-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first. Bail was set at $1,137.
MONDAY
• A 43-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated pedestrian and robbery of a bicycle. Bail was set at $40,352.

THURSDAY
• A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first after a traffic stop for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk on Carson Street. Bail was set $1,224.
• A 68-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous drug with a prescription. At the same time, a 72-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. And a 55-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and an ex-felon failing to register. Carson City Sheriff’s deputies responded to a welfare check in the 2300 block of Columbia Way, upon arrival they could see methamphetamine in plain sight. Upon getting a search warrant, deputies found more drugs, paraphernalia and prescription drug without a valid prescription.
Bail for the 68-year-old was set at $6,137.
Bail for the 72-year-old was set at $2,500.
Bail for the 55-year-old was set at $3,879.
