Fall happenings with the High Desert Grange include The Crochet Project and a new Lamb Leader.
The Crochet Project begins Oct, 21, at 6 p.m. at the Pizza Factory in the Stillwater Plaza.  Teacher Samantha Horning, a 24-year U.S. Air Force veteran, has been crocheting since she was 8 years old.  In addition to teaching both left- and right-handed crochet, she will also teach pattern reading.  The Crochet Project is open to High Desert Grange members only.
High Desert Grange welcomes Kadee Buckmaster as their new lamb leader.  Having graduated from Chico State University with a degree in Animal Science and Agriculture Business, Buckmaster has more than 20 years of experience with livestock. She replaces Heidi Fait who’s in nursing school.  Buckmaster said she’s enthusiastic about raising livestock and is eager to share her knowledge with Grange youth.
