With a dominant performance, the Carson High softball team rolled right past the Miners of Bishop Manogue Thursday, 13-1, in five innings.
In the circle, Caydee Farnworth struck out 11 batters over the course of five innings while allowing one earned run on four hits.
At the dish, Kayce Johnston hit her fourth home run of the season in the top of the fourth inning, a three-run blast to right field.
In the fifth inning, Isabella Reyes thumped a two-run homer over the center field wall to put the Senators up 9-1.
Farnworth doubled and drove in two more runs for Carson while Shannen von Duering knocked in an RBI of her own.

Carson baseball falls to McQueen, Spanish Springs
It was a tough week for Carson High baseball in suffering two double-digit losses to McQueen, 11-0, and Spanish Springs, 13-2 this past week.
LSU commit Robby Snelling threw all five innings for the Lancers, keeping Carson hitless until the fifth inning.
Against Spanish Springs, the Senators let their own mistakes come back to get them after walking 11 batters and committing six defensive errors.
Tanner Hunt drove in both runs for Carson on a line drive single to left field where an error allowed a second runner to come across.
In the bottom of the third inning, the home plate umpire ejected Carson head coach Bryan Manoukian.
“We need to do all three phases of the game and we didn’t field well Tuesday and we didn’t pitch well tonight,” said Manoukian after Thursday’s loss. “We put too much pressure on our hitters trying to come-from-behind all the time.”
UP NEXT: Carson (2-9-1, 0-7 in Class 5A league play) travels to Reed (2-14, 0-5) Saturday in search of its first win.
