Supervisors discuss pact for new Carson City fire station

Core West Inc., may become the construction manager at risk for a new fire station on Butti Way. The Board of Supervisors will consider Core’s proposed $54,000 contract at their meeting Thursday.
The board will gather in the Robert “Bob” Crowell Board Room of the Community Center, 851 E. William St., at 8:30 a.m.
Among agenda items, the board may:
• Hear a report from the city manager on the fiscal impact of a collective bargaining agreement between Carson City and the Fraternal Order of Police on behalf of Carson City’s alternative sentencing officers.
• Augment the fiscal year 2021-22 budget by $45 million to account for bond issuance, employee contract changes, grants, and unanticipated sources of revenue.
• Approve the Carson City Airport Authority’s five-year Capital Improvement Plan.
• Adopt on second reading a bill that clarifies the process for administrative appeals.
• Update the master plan and zoning of multiple city parcels.
