Billy Wilson: The old stage heroes stagecoach comes out in a new advertisement. His stage leaves the Ormsby House on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for Genoa. Wilson’s line is an accommodation line. Whenever he starts upon the straight and narrow road, he is always welcome at the gate.

Weaver in movie: Chuckles and more chuckles filled the Grand theatre. Dat-So-La-Lee, famed Indian basket weaver, saw herself in the movies. At a pre-release showing of a film the famous Indian is shown at her art of weaving, from the choosing of her material to the finishing of her product. She was there at the invitation of Abe Cohn, her manager. Dat-So-La-Lee was the attraction as she saw herself in the film.

Beebe and Clegg buy Virginia City newspaper: The couple announced the purchase of the weekly Virginia City News from Harry and Clara Christensen of Sparks. They will revive the name of Territorial Enterprise. Beebe has acquired the old Piper House for a residence.

Photo caption: Fritsch Elementary School students Michelle Branbold and John Grover shovel in dirt to cover the base of a Colorado Blue Spruce tree that was planted at Fritsch. The Greenhouse Garden Center sponsored a school district tree-decorating contest and donated trees to the winners at each grade level.

A highly perfumed dog: One of the Knights of the Grip accepted the invitation of one of our local nimrods to spend Sunday in pursuit of the feathered denizens. He found an old prospector’s cabin to get a wood supply and was startled by a whoop that would have done infinite credit to a Sioux brave. He had mistaken a friendly polecat for a stray dog. The Carsonite stuffed gun wadding in his nose, removed his clothes, adorned his manly proportions with a blanket and went home.

C.A. Ambrose went to Virginia City with a motion picture outfit, and there “shot” film for Ambrose’s picture depicting life in the West from pioneer days to the present.
