APPOINTIVE POSITION

The Board of Churchill County Commissioners

is seeking the names of public-spirited citizens

who are willing to serve as an alternate

member of the Board of Equalization. The

Board of Equalization is a board appointed by

the Board of County Commissioners, authorized

and directed to determine the valuation

of any property assessed by the County

Assessor and to change and correct valuation

found to be incorrect, either by adding thereto

or by deducting therefrom such sum as is necessary

to make it conform to the taxable value

of the property assessed, and any other matters

properly relating thereto. The board shall

hold such number of meetings as may be

necessary to care for the business of equalization

presented to it. The board is seeking

to fill one alternate position with an unexpired

term expiring December 31, 2023. Persons

having real estate or appraisal experience will

be given preference in the selection process.

General knowledge of computers is required

because board packets will be submitted in

electronic format. For more details, interested

persons may obtain an application at Churchill

County Human Resources, 155 N. Taylor St.,

Suite 177, Fallon, Nevada 89406. All letters

and applications are to be submitted to the

above address not later than 3:00 PM on

November 29, 2022.
