Fallon man dies in Silver Springs crash

A 33-year-old Fallon resident died on June 7 in a crash U.S. 95A at Spruce Avenue in Silver Springs.

Nevada State Police responded to the crash at 4:58 a.m.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle was traveling southbound on U.S. 95A, north of Spruce Avenue. A 2004 Peterbilt flatbed towing two flatbed trailers was turning left from Spruce Avenue to travel northbound on U.S. 95A. The motorcyclist attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him in a no-passing zone and continued southbound at a high rate of speed. The front of the motorcycle struck the second trailer.

The rider, William David Hulsey, a 33-year-old male from Fallon, was ejected from the motorcycle and died.

Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash.

This marks the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Northern Command West 17th fatal crash, resulting in 18 fatalities for 2023.
