Fallon woman dies in motorcycle crash on U.S. 50

A 50-year-old Fallon woman was the victim of a Sept. 10 motorcycle crash in Churchill County, according to a Nevada State Police news release.

Linda Maria Diaz died as a result of the crash on U.S. Highway 50 near mile marker 37, the release said.

The crash was reported to NSP on Sept. 10 at 12:01 p.m. Preliminary investigation indicates a black 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Diaz, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 when it crossed over the westbound travel lane and entered the dirt area north of the highway. The motorcycle began to overturn and Diaz was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

This marks the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Northern Command’s 34th fatal crash resulting in 37 fatalities for 2023.
