National test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday

Starting at 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will test the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System. This test will include alerts on cell phones, radios, and televisions across the United States. 

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to inform the community that this is just a test and that there is no reason to be alarmed by the notifications you will receive.
