Partnership Carson City will conduct its bi-annual drug roundup on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to raise awareness around the impacts of keeping unused and expired prescription drugs in households.

The bi-annual initiative is crafted to safeguard the well-being of the community through education about proper disposal of unused or expired prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, prescription liquids, pet medications, sharps (syringes), and more.

The roundup will take place at four locations in Carson City:

Save Mart Supermarkets, 3620 N. Carson St., and 4348 S. Carson St.; Smith’s Food & Drug Store at 559 E. William St.; and FoodMaxx at 3325 Highway 50 East.

At-home drug disposal kits will also be available. The kits provide an option for proper disposal at home. Medicine lock boxes are available as well as medical and commercial cannabis lock bags. Both are offered free of charge.
