Two people died Monday after Lyon County first responders received a report of multiple drug overdoses in a Jessica Lane address in Fernley.

At 4:30 p.m. Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies and North Lyon Fire Department personnel responded to the address for a report of an adult male who was unconscious and unresponsive.

“Upon arrival, law enforcement and medical personnel located three unresponsive adults within the residence, all showing signs of overdose from illicit drugs,” a news release said.

Deputies and fire department personnel began life saving measures, including the administration of Narcan.

Two people died. A third person was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment. That person was treated again at 1:15 a.m. at a residence on Wedge Lane after another overdose.

Deputies arrived and found the subject unresponsive; Narcan was administered and the subject was revived and transported for treatment.

After the original call, LCSO investigators responded. A search of the residence revealed evidence of recent illicit drug use by all three subjects.

LCSO did not identify any of the victims.
