On Sept. 20, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigations division, with the probation and parole department, conducted a sex offender compliance check in Carson City.
In a news release, CCSO said, “155 registered sex offenders were checked to ensure compliance with community registration as required by Nevada Revised Statute 179D.460. Three registered sex offenders were arrested for being out of compliance with their required registration during the operation.”
Such compliance checks are completed by CCSO every year. Members of the community can access information and receive notifications about registered sex offenders in Carson City through www.offenderwatch.com.
