Andrew Robles has stepped down from his head-coaching role with the Douglas High School girls soccer team.

Douglas athletic director John Glover confirmed the move Wednesday afternoon.

“We thank Andrew for his time with Douglas High School and wish him the best of luck moving forward,” said Glover.

Robles’ first season as head coach came in the fall of 2019, in which the Tigers qualified for the state tournament.

In his five seasons at the helm, Robles put together an overall record of 44-38-13 while going 30-20-11 in Northern Nevada league play.

In his first two seasons, Robles helped guide Douglas to back-to-back regional title games, falling to Galena in both.

The 2019 Tiger team went on to the state tournament while the 2020 squad did not get to advance as the pandemic forced a shortened season.

In 2021 and 2022, Douglas was one win away from a state tournament berth, losing in the regional semifinals in both seasons.

Applications to apply for the opening are available on the Douglas County School District website.
