Obituary: Mildred Weston

Mildred L. Weston, an Oklahoma native and 27-year resident of Carson City, died Jan. 15, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was 78.

Mrs. Weston was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Oklahoma to Ed and Haddy Stivers.

During her time in Nevada, she worked as a hostess in the gaming industry. She enjoyed bowling and belonged to a bowling club in Carson City.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary Weston of Huntington, Calif. and Ken Weston of Southern California; daughter Jackie Thomson, also of Southern California; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be handled at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City, Nev. No services are planned.
