Coyotes sweep three games

The Carson Coyotes swept their last three games in Sierra Nevada Senior Babe Ruth Baseball action.


Carson defeated the Reno Wildcats 17-5 on Monday at the Governor's Bowl. On Saturday, Carson swept a doubleheader against the Sparks Titans at Sparks High, winning 16-3 and 8-2.


Against the Wildcats, Chris Ames was the winning pitching, striking out six over five innings. Josh Camper struck out four over the last two innings.


Camper also went 4-for-5 with two triples. Also for the Coyotes, Jon Teeter went 3-for-4 with a triple, Jarrod Bone went 3-for-5, Jason Knowles, Brad Breeden, Ames and Jack Maloney all had two hits and Adam Anderson belted a home run.


In the 16-3 win over the Titans, Kevin Millim was the winning pitcher, striking out five over five innings in the game that was called after five innings. Bone went 3-for-4, Camper homered and doubled, Breeden was 3-for-4 with two doubles, Andy Bohm went 2-for-4, Alex Tanchek doubled and Maloney Derek Giurlani each added a hit for Carson.


In the 8-2 win, Camper was the winning pitcher, striking out four over three innings. Breeden struck out seven over three innings and Bohm struck out two in one inning.


Bone and Anderson each had two hits, Camper went 3-for-4, Millim doubled and Maloney, Breeden and Ames all added a hit.
