A memorial Mass for Michael Massell, 57, a resident of Carson Valley for the past 13 years, will be held in New York.
Mr. Massell died March 11, 2006, at his home. He was born March 29, 1948, in New York, to Emanuel Massell and Katherine Flaherty.
He married Lynn Zimmerman on Aug. 22, 1991, in Los Angeles.
Before moving to Carson Valley, he lived in Los Angeles.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed landscaping and decorating his house.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Massell.
Among his survivors are his parents of Richmond Hill, N.Y.; wife, of Carson Valley; son Zachery of Los Angeles; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Kay of Santa Rosa, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law Wendy and Arturo Cardenas and Melissa and Marcus Meyer, all of Santa Rosa; first wife, Stephanie Massell of Santa Rosa; sister, Ann Massell of New York; and 17 grandchildren.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
