A memorial service for Margaret H. Rubich, 80, an eight-year Carson City resident, has been rescheduled to 2 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mrs. Rubich died Oct. 23, 2006, at Evergreen Mountain View Care Center. She was born April 4, 1926, in Minneapolis, to Elmer Hokanson and Matilda Elizabeth Breitung.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Rubich lived in California.

She worked for AT&T for 50 years as an overseas operator, and oversaw the safety department for the company for many years.

She was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing, fishing and camping.

She was preceded in death by brother William Hokanson.

Among her survivors are her husband, George M. Rubich, of Dayton; son Richard Shaw of Sparks; daughter and son-in-law Beverly and Thomas Scogland of Dayton; sister Marilyn Kennon of Springfield, N.M.; brothers Roger Hokanson of Springfield, N.M., and Jerry Hokanson of Albuquerque, N.M. and four grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
