First Church of Christ, Scientist will hold a Christmas Hymn Sing from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.

The church is at 110 Clear Creek Road. Refreshments will be available after the show, which is open to the public.

Gospel pianist, songwriter, worship leader and minister, Morris Chapman will be at Fountainhead Foursquare Church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Morris' musical career gives him an extra ability to reach people and touch their heart and soul. Over the years he has recorded a long list of albums, earned nominations for both Dove Awards and a Grammy, and written noteworthy songs that other artists have recorded.

His songs are widely recognized around the world, especially in praise and worship. All are welcome to "come away" with Morris in worship.

The public is invited to discuss the habit of listening at a 10 a.m. Eckankar worship service Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

Eckankar is the religion of the light and sound of God.

The service is free and a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk, with readings held afterward along with small-group discussions and a short contemplation.
