The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6 a.m. the following road controls:

Highway 395 " Chains or snow tires required for 9 miles between Winters Ranch and 0.4 miles south of SR 341.

Interstate 80 " Chains required except for four-wheel drive vehicles for 14.3 miles between Kingvale, and 1 mile west of Truckee, Calif.

Highway 50 " Chains required except for four-wheel d rive vehicles fro 16.2 miles between 4.1 miles east of Placerville and Riverton, Calif.

Chains required except for four-wheel drive vehicles for 23.6 miles between 2 miles west of Kyburz and 4.1 miles west of SR 89.

Snow tires or chains required for 12.7 miles between 0.5 miles west of Glenbrook, and 0.4 miles west of Highway 395 in south Carson City.

Today's weather will be mostly cloudy in the morning becoming partly cloudy with highs from 25-35 and north winds 10-15 mph.

Tonight, partly cloudy with lows 5-15 and northwest winds up to 10 mph in the evening becoming light.
