Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Monday

• At 9:27 a.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested at an East Hampton Drive apartment on charges he allegedly drew a gun on his brother’s girlfriend during an argument. According to the police report, he threatened the woman with the weapon. He was arrested on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of drawing a weapon in a threatening manner and held in lieu of $500 bail.

• At 4:33 p.m., Ian Kennedy, 25, was arrested on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon after deputies responded to reports of a fight at Remedy’s Bar on William Street. According to the arrest report, Kennedy had been at the bar earlier in the day but was told to leave. He reportedly returned to the bar and started another fight. He’s accused of threatening one subject with a screwdriver and stabbing another person in the hand with a Leatherman multi-tool. The arrest report says he was intoxicated at the time. Kennedy was ordered held in lieu of a total $50,000 bail on the two felony counts.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
