Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested as fugitive from justice

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 10:05 a.m., a 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to reports of a mental subject throwing things near the 1100 Sonoma Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 8:04 p.m., a 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies responded to reports of a woman getting choked by a man near Stewart and Roop Streets. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 9:55 p.m., Christopher Verduzco, 24, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony uttering forged instruments and obtaining money under false pretenses after deputies were dispatched to keep the peace for a civil situation near Bryan Circle and Lompa Lane. Bail was set at $20,000.

At 10:28 p.m., Bruce Kasper, 65, of South Lake Tahoe, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and William Crow, 55, of South Lake Tahoe, was arrested on suspicion of felony fugitive from justice and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to a lost property report at the Carson Street Fandango. Bail for Kasper was set at $2,500 and bail for Crow was set at $1,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
