Fallon hoops flexed its muscles last weekend during the 11th annual Fallon Shoot-Out Co-ed Youth Basketball Tournament at the Gym at Venturacci Park.

With 21 teams in attendance in three divisions, the Fallon Longhorns won the fourth- through sixth-grade and seventh- and eighth-grade titles, while the Stillwater Hoops club took first in the first- through third-grade class.

Four teams from Fallon participated along with squads from Hawthorne, Yerington, Gardnerville, Stewart, Silver Springs, and Owyhee.

Stillwater Hoops, coached by Anthony Berreman, took the top spot followed by the Yerington Hawks, Hawthorne Basketball Academy and the Morning Stars of Owyhee.

Noah Williams was named Most Valuable Player, while the all-tournament team consisted of Andrew Shults, Skai Shults, Johnnie K. Williams, Jaydan Keats, Triston Jones, Jennica Stephens, Bisaapi Melendez and Alaisjah Sam.

The fourth- through sixth-grade Longhorns, coached by Chelle Dalager, earned the title followed by Lil’ Ken’s Krew of Yerington, the Yerington Hawks and the Hawthorne Basketball Academy.

The MVP was Matthew Davis and the all-tournament team featured Avery Strasdin, Madison Whitaker, Tucker Hall, Perla Farias, Eric Bobb, Denaya Brinkley, Eammanuel Naranjo and Jayla Talaver.

Dalager also coached the seventh- and eighth-grade Longhorns to the title followed by the Hawthorne Basketball Academy, Ken’s Krew and the Hawks.

Trae Thomson was named MVP, while the all-tournament team consisted of Trey Rooks, Allie Lister, Robert McFalls, Devon Davis, Steven Keats, Kailiana Ramos, Joshua Shaw and Serena Gardipe.
