A Fallon woman was injured Monday afternoon at about 5:27 p.m. when an automobile hit her while she was bicycling on West Williams Avenue.

The Fallon Police Department said, Patricia Anderson, 58, was eastbound on her bicycle near the curb on West Williams Avenue and had just passed Tedford Lane on a green light. Capt. Ron Wenger said a 2000 green Toyota pickup driven by Michael Mader, 65, of Fallon was making a left-hand turn into The Depot parking lot.

Wenger said Mader was westbound on Williams Avenue and said he didn’t see Anderson when turning. Wenger said paramedics from Banner Churchill Community Hospital transported Anderson to the medical facility. A Banner spokeswoman said she was treated and released.

Wenger said Mader was cited for failure to yield right of way.
