Dancing in the rain lands Carson City man in jail says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 9:20 a.m., a 52-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of suspended driver’s license and failure to appear warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Deer Run Road. Bail was set at $1,240.

At 11:20 a.m., a 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of contempt of court after deputies initiated a warrant service near Gold Hill Drive. Bail was set at $5,500.

At 12:53 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny warrant after deputies conducted a consensual stop near the 1500 block of Roop Street. Bail was set at $250.

At 11:12 p.m., Matthew Ferris, 41, of Gardnerville was arrested on suspicion of felony violation of conditions of bail after deputies conducted a traffic stop near William Street and Rand Avenue. No bail was set.

SATURDAY

At 5:15 a.m., Sarah Nicholson-Jones, 38, was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation violation, obstructing an officer and resisting a public officer after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated subject at the Carson Tahoe Hospital. Bail was set at $550.

At 11:52 a.m., Mychal Brower, 26, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance warrant, felony providing false information to avoid prosecution, violation of bail conditions and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of a man dancing in the rain without a shirt near the 100 block of Clearview Drive. Bail was set at $8,500.

At 4:43 p.m., a 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1600 block of William Street. Bail was set at $215.

At 5:23 p.m., a 59-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 3300 block of Harrison Lane. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 7:30 p.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to reports of a incident near the 3600 block of Desatoya Drive. Bail was set at $1,000.
