YERINGTON — The Yerington Lions outscored Dayton 17-5 to come away with a 47-43 win in a girls nonleague basketball game Tuesday night.

“We had a great game for rebounding and kept our turnovers down but we just couldn’t close this game out,” Dayton coach Kelly Frantz said.

“We need to work on being in close games and winning those games. We are going to see some tight games before the end of the season and if we have a shot to get more wins, we have to be finishers.”

Angela Sikora had a fantastic game with a career-high 37 points and 16 rebounds.
