Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on possession of a controlled substance, parole violation

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 7:30 a.m., Wilder Brown, 62, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony open or gross lewdness after deputies responded to reports of a man urinating at a bus stop near the 700 block of N. Plaza Street. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 2:31 p.m., a 73-year-old Virginia City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a temporary protection order and obstruction after deputies responded to reports of a protection violation near the 2100 block of Michael Drive. Bail was set at $1,250.

At 4:19 p.m., a 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of failure to appear after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 5400 block of Highway 50. Bail was set at $2,266.

At 5:05 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a woman throwing items near Kit Sierra Loop. Bail was set at $5,350.

At 9:11 p.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1000 block of Siskiyou Drive. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 10:30 p.m., Rolando Arechiga, 35, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and felony parole and probation hold after deputies conducted a parole contact near 20 College Parkway. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 11 p.m., David Strouse, 56, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation hold after deputies conducted a parole contact near the 3300 block of Imperial Way. No bail was set.

At 11:13 p.m., a 42-year-old transient woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a temporary protection order and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to reports of a protection violation near the 600 block of Hot Springs Road. Bail was set at $2,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
