Man arrested on suspicion of felony burglary says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 8:11 a.m., a 51-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of two men sleeping under a tree near Carmine Street and Airport Road. Bail was set at $1,141.

At 12:11 p.m., a 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 200 block of N. Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 2:03 p.m., Scott Stovall, 37, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary, felony obtaining money under false pretenses and felony grand larceny after deputies responded to reports of a man making false returns at the Fairview Drive Lowe’s. Bail was set at $50,000.

At 5:22 p.m., a 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of intimidating an officer warrant, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 3200 block of Kings Canyon Road. Bail was set at $2,300.

At 8:08 p.m., a 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and violation of a temporary protection order near the 700 block of North Sutro Terrace. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 8:19 p.m., a 47-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1100 block of Denise Circle. Bail was set at $3,000.

SATURDAY

At 12:14 a.m., a 24-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and no valid driver’s license after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Sherman. Bail was set at $1,100.

At 2:23 a.m., Ashley Klos, 28, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Robinson and Plaza Streets. Bail was set at $3,637.

At 4:05 a.m., a 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driver’s license suspended after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Woodside and Continental. Bail was set at $1,500.

At 12:53 p.m., Jose Vargus-Nuno, 37, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation violation and open container after deputies responded to reports of a man sleeping on the ground near the 2100 block of William Street. Bail was set at 4100.

At 3:12 p.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of pretrial conditions after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 400 block of Winnie Lane. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 9:41 p.m., a Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense after deputies responded to reports of a potential residential burglary in progress near the 4100 block of Sherman Lane. The suspect was detained in a high risk traffic stop as it was pulling away from the area. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 9:41 p.m., Dawn Grimes, 40, of Wellington, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful turn at an intersection, expired registration, no insurance and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Nichols Lane and Highway 50. Bail was set at $6,665.

SUNDAY

At 4:51 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near 10th and Nevada Streets. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 6:17 p.m., a 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear and window tint after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop Street and Northridge Drive. Bail was set at $840.

At 10:50 p.m., a 48-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1700 block of William Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
