School board meets Wednesday

A regular meeting of the Churchill County Board of School Trustees will be held Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the in the Virtual Platform of GotoMeeting, 690 S. Maine St., Fallon, Nevada 89406.

Agenda:
• Update regarding the district's recruiting efforts
• Update regarding District and Chartwells Procedures for hiring and staff discipline
• Discuss goals and parameters for the reinstatement of the Churchill County High School Student Representative to the board.
• Approval of the one-year extension of the 2021-22 Chartwells Food Services and Meal Rate Contract with an increase from $2.57 to $2.841 per meal.
• Brad Daum will provide an update regarding the Athletic Survey Results for the 2020 fall and 2021 spring sports seasons.
• The Board shall consider all efforts made by the school district to fill the positions through other means and designate our vacant teaching positions as critical positions - elementary school teachers, English teachers, math teachers, special education teachers - pursuant to NRS 286.523.
