Motorcycle club member faces list of charges, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. FRIDAY At 2 a.m., Davide Sanchez, 49, was arrested at an address on Woodside Drive on a warrant charging of felony domestic battery. Sanchez was described in the arrest report as president of the Deadly Sins motorcycle club, which was described as linked to the Vagos motorcycle club A search of the residence found a Glock 9mm pistol verified by dispatch as stolen. Deputies also found more than 14 grams of cocaine, a digital scale and numerous small baggies as well as three bags of marijuana totaling 10 ounces and prescription drugs with no prescription. He was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell, possession of a stolen firearm and as an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. He was also charged with possession of testosterone and a dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of paraphernalia and marijuana. Finally, he was charged with child endangerment because his young son was present. Total bail was set at $92,600.

Forged $100 bills found on woman at jail, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. TUESDAY At 2:37 a.m., Salud Garcia, 28, was charged with possession of a half dozen forged $100 bills discovered by jail staff when she was booked on other charges. The arrest report states that all the bills had the same serial number. She was already facing charges involving a Reno Justice Court warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her total bail was set at $51,000.

Carson City Water Resource Recovery Facility project nears completion

The roughly $40 million project to rehab Carson City’s Water Resource Recovery Facility is nearing completion. Next month, the odor control system for the headworks where the waste water enters the treatment plant will be turned on, reducing the familiar smell that emanates from the 5th Street facility.

Gift card scam continues to target Carson City residents

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has continued to see an increased amount of phone scams. We want the public to remain vigilant and educated in these issues. Scammers are routinely calling people saying they have missed a court date, missed a jury summons, they have a warrant, or they owe fines. The caller identifies themselves as a member of the Sheriff’s Office or member of the court. They will even use real names of high ranking members of the Sheriff’s Office or Judges, names that they think the public will recognize. The caller will at times provide a phone number to call back with a recording saying it’s the Sheriff’s Office. No government agency will call you in this fashion and then ask you to send them money over the phone to handle a situation like that. Any legitimate issues you would have involving a missed court date or jury summons will require you to show up in person. No law enforcement agency will collect money over the phone for any issue.
